As we are led closer to Yahweh, the process seems to be a stripping away of things that cannot enter the house of God (Beth El). We can take nothing with us that is an affront to the holiness of God or seeks to glorify us rather than our Heavenly Father.
This process is not something we can do in our own strength, it is God's work as we journey with Him.
