The Passover Lamb

In the Passover Lamb we see revelations of Messiah. One of His titles is the Great Shepherd but He is also the Lamb of God.
Lambs that were chosen had to be male and without defect. As the second Adam, Messiah also needed to be male. But unlike Adam who couldn't save, Messiah had to be sinless without spot or blemish.
Like the lamb's blood, Messiah's blood was shed so that we too might be covered, bringing us out of the world of oppression and slavery to this world of sin and into fellowship with Yahweh. He has forgiven us and in grace we are passed over and will experience eternal life.
